Lighting Library iPhone App Now Available

We are excited to announce that our new iPhone App is now available for download in the iTunes store free of charge! To see our new app in “action” check out the embedded demo video at the bottom of this post.

The Lighting Library app is an on-the-go informative resource for anyone with a lighting project.  Seriously, we designed the app to serve a range of expertise levels.  So whether you’re a beginner venturing into the lighting industry for the first time or a professional that has installed lighting for years, the Lighting Library will help.  Its streamlined design helps you find a term definition, lighting tip, or FAQ instantly, and navigating between sections is a breeze.

Specifically, the app includes the following features:

Lighting Glossary: Easy-to-understand definitions for over 100 common lighting terms.  They’re arranged to browse through alphabetically, but you can also search for a particular term using the search box at the top.

Lighting FAQs: Popular lighting questions in this section are arranged by subject (i.e., dimmers, fluorescent lighting, installation and maintenance).

Lighting Tips: Compiled from our website and blog, these tips and articles are also arranged by subject to help you find the most relevant information quickly.

More: Includes Lighting Library Help and allows you to email us directly with any feedback or comments about the application.

To download the app to your device visit http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lighting-library/id366536372.

We will also be giving away prizes to two people who are among the first to download the application!  Each winner will be selected randomly from those who add the Lighting Library by April 30, 2010.  To register to win one of two Halogen Clamp-on Barbecue Lights (perfect for the upcoming summer grilling season, by the way):

  • Download the app to your iPhone, iPod touch, or that fancy new iPad you just got
  • Open the app and visit our More section from the home screen or the bottom navigation bar
  • Select the Feedback / Support link and your email program will open with the to address and subject line pre-filled for you
  • In the body of the email provide your name and shipping address.

That’s it! You have just entered to win one of the barbecue lights. We will select a winner by May 4, 2010 and notify you by email and ship out your new grill light.
