PinExt One Company Uses Social Media And Customer Feedback To Help With A New Website Design

BEAVER FALLS, PA, February 23 — Social media is literally transforming the way people communicate with businesses.  One of the most important reasons for this transformation is the exponential growth of blogs, online forums, Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, and other electronic media that allow customers’ views to be read and compared by millions of readers.  For the first time, customers seem to have the ability to greatly influence how people think about businesses and how businesses react to their thoughts.

Over 25 million people access Yelp.com each month for reviews.  Approximately six million registered Twitter users have conversations about brands that are important to them – or ones that have failed them.  On Facebook, 200 million users join the mix to create an environment where the control lies with the customer.  It is no longer possible for companies to ignore the influence social media has on brand reputation.

While some companies panic about this changing mindset (engaging with customers on a real-time basis is foreign to the old world of corporate advertisements and press releases), others are successfully leveraging social media to align with the reason they’re doing business in the first place.  It’s all about the customers, right?

PinExt Energy Efficient Lighting Section Added to our Website

energy efficient bulb Energy Efficient Lighting Section Added to our WebsiteWithin the past month we expanded our website by adding a new energy-efficient lighting section. This new section of our website makes it easier for our website visitors to find the energy-efficient LED light fixtures, fluorescent fixtures, metal halide light bulbsair tight recessed housings, California Title 24 compliant lighting products, and ENERGY STAR® light fixtures that we offer.

LED lighting is really exciting.  For example, the 6-inch LED downlight module uses 85% less energy than a conventional incandescent downlight, and 50% less energy than comparable fluorescent downlights.  This, obviously, amounts to considerable savings on an electric bill. We look forward to offering our residential and business customers an ever growing line of energy-efficient lighting in the near future.

Dr. Thomas E. Farin, President and founder of Pegasus Associates Lighting.

We formally announced this new website section on August 27. You may read our press release “Energy Efficient Lighting Makes an Impact on Pegasus Associates Lighting Website” for further information.

PinExt Pegasus Associates Lighting Expands its Online Reach Through Social Media

BEAVER FALLS, PA, July 22 — Pegasus Associates Lighting is expanding its online reach to its customers and partners through the use of social media platforms Twitter, Facebook, and FriendFeed. In addition, the company has recently expanded its website through the addition of a new lighting blog.

Through its Twitter profile @PegasusLighting and new Pegasus Facebook page, the company shares lighting tips, lighting articles, and lighting news from across the internet including its own website, along with offering special coupons and discounts on its lighting products to its followers and fans. A final objective for Pegasus’ social networking plans is to provide its customers with quality service by expanding its use of alternative communications methods beyond email and the telephone. The Pegasus FriendFeed profile aggregates the company’s tweets and blog postings in one place for all of its subscribers on that social media platform to read and enjoy.

Chris Johnson, Vice President for Pegasus Associates Lighting says, “Our new social media strategy has already started to pay off. We have seen sales generated from Facebook fans and have been able to network with companies in different industries that we serve that could lead to valuable dialog and sales opportunities.”

On July 3rd, the company added the Pegasus Associates Lighting Blog to its website. The blog is a logical extension of a corporate goal to provide a website that is a learning experience in lighting. The new lighting blog includes buyer’s guides to help individuals choose the right light fixture for their situation, additional lighting tips, coverage of news that may impact the lighting industry, and, of course, news specific to the company.
