PinExt What is LEED Certification?

leed logo 5p3t What is LEED Certification?

LEED is an international green building certification system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC): a non-profit organization with a mission to transform the building environment.  It’s one of the few standardized measures of energy efficiency.  Both commercial and residential buildings can obtain LEED Certification.  The process takes into account strategies used throughout the building process: from the first designs to maintenance and repair.

PinExt Energy Efficient Lighting Section Added to our Website

energy efficient bulb Energy Efficient Lighting Section Added to our WebsiteWithin the past month we expanded our website by adding a new energy-efficient lighting section. This new section of our website makes it easier for our website visitors to find the energy-efficient LED light fixtures, fluorescent fixtures, metal halide light bulbsair tight recessed housings, California Title 24 compliant lighting products, and ENERGY STAR® light fixtures that we offer.

LED lighting is really exciting.  For example, the 6-inch LED downlight module uses 85% less energy than a conventional incandescent downlight, and 50% less energy than comparable fluorescent downlights.  This, obviously, amounts to considerable savings on an electric bill. We look forward to offering our residential and business customers an ever growing line of energy-efficient lighting in the near future.

Dr. Thomas E. Farin, President and founder of Pegasus Associates Lighting.

We formally announced this new website section on August 27. You may read our press release “Energy Efficient Lighting Makes an Impact on Pegasus Associates Lighting Website” for further information.
