BEAVER FALLS, PA, May 1 — Western Pennsylvania-based Pegasus Associates Lighting begins a month-long celebration of its 10-year anniversary on the Internet. The company is observing its decennial anniversary by offering special discounts and free lighting gifts to all customers until May 31, and launching an Internet forum dedicated to lighting.
The Pegasus Associates Lighting website first went live on the Internet May 5, 1999. It was less than 20 pages and included only very basic information about a few of the company’s lighting products. By November 2002, the website boasted a custom shopping cart, which allowed customers to place their orders directly online. Fast-forward to 2009 and the company’s website now has over 900 pages, receives approximately 1,000,000 annual visits, and has shipped to more than 40,000 customers around the world.
President and founder of Pegasus Associates Lighting, Dr. Thomas Farin, explained the free give-away program by saying, “We are so appreciative of our customers and their loyal support these past 10 years. As a special expression of our gratitude, we are celebrating our 10-year anniversary with our customers by giving away free lighting gifts and special discounts.”
Besides gifts and discounts, the lighting website celebrates ten years on the Internet by expanding its services to shoppers. The newly-launched Pegasus Associates Lighting Forum provides website visitors a place online to seek or give advice on lighting projects. Visitors can share valuable lighting information with a community of people interested in lighting, and find a place where novices and experts alike can expand their lighting knowledge.
